Hi and welcome to the Regina Crook School of Music. Vocal teaching has been a passion of mine for many years which all started watching Hugh Jackman as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast.
Over the years I have been priviliged to be involved with many productions including 'Oliver' (Oliver), 'Cosi Fan Tutti' (Despina), 'My Favourite Year' (Belle Carroca), 'Into the Woods' (Little Red Riding Hood), 'Seussical the Musical' (Gertrude McFuzz), 'Baby', 'Les Miserable', 'Chess', 'Sweeny Todd', 'The Sound of Music', 'Broadway Unplugged', 'Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' and many more. Not only have I been lucky enough to be on stage, but off-stage as Music Director and Vocal Director as well.
I studied music through Australian Catholic University and from there have focused on teaching the classical technique in different genres of music. I am immensely proud of every student as they grow musically and achieve their goals. Every student has a unique characteristic to their voice, so it is vital to teach to the individual needs of each student. As every student is different, so are their goals, it could be being able to sing for their children, exams, performing on broadway, HSC/VCE or getting into university. Each goal is what makes singing such a personal journey and why I cater to individual needs.
I know how hard people work to making their dreams come true and I love that I can be a small part of that journey.
Hi! I'm Courtney and have been a student of Regina's for three years. This year Regina has asked me to work with student's from a theatrical aspect to help work on characterisation and stage presence.
Born and raised in Albury, I started singing when I was six years old. I found my love for musical theatre after watching 'Mary Poppins' in Sydney. Having grown up watching all the Disney movies and classics I knew I couldn't wait to get on the stage.
During High School I was involved with the New South Wales High Schools State Choir for four years and during this time performed at the Sydney Opera House. I have also been involved with the School Spectacular Core Choir which has been an absolute highlight in my career. As well as taking on roles in school musicals, I have been lucky to have performed with AWTCo in 'The Sound of Music' and 'Broadway Unplugged'.
This year I took on a different role and became Assistant Vocal Coach  in ByteSized production of 'Peter Pan'. It was a complete eye opener to me and has sparked a passion to help teach student's about vocal health, technique and most of all characterisation.
In the future I would love to open my own Musical Theatre School and gain a Bachelor of Music/Arts. For the past three years I have been a student of Regina's and loving the ride. I have learnt so much and I look forward to being able to work with student's to help reach their goals.
I have always loved music and was fortunate enough to start learning piano at an early age. In 2005 I started a Bachelor of Music Degree through Australian Catholic University, where I was partnered with Regina in performance and soon we realised we made a great team.
Soon after I was blessed with my gorgeous son, I recoginised the call to Church Ministry was louder than the call to fame as a famous pianist and entered Theological Studies in order to become a Minister. Currently based in Melbourne at Hartwell Church of Christ, I reguarly play for church as well as accompanying and singing for performances.
For the past few years I have been the official accompaniast for the Regina Crook Singing School. Recording and accompaning student's for exams, rehearsals, performances and eisteddfods.
